For the active, Holts Summit offers a full size basketball court, two sand volleyball courts and three baseball fields, or within a ten-minute drive, there is a soccer and baseball complex where several leagues play during spring, summer, and fall seasons. Also at the sports complex there is a Go-Kart track that offers additional fun for everyone. This year the city will be working on upgrading the baseball fields in Greenway Park and starting a ball program for the children in the area. Enjoy eighteen holes of golf at Railwood Golf Course, located in Holts Summit, or travel ten minutes to Turkey Creek, which offers nine holes of golf, and eighteen holes of mini golf. For the outdoorsmen, there is a fishing pond open to the public hidden away in the woods to ensure a serene fishing adventure. Every one of all ages can take pleasure in a family oriented movie theater in the plaza. For the adults, the Summit Lake Winery is a great place to enjoy the evening on their beautiful patio. You don’t have to travel far to get all the necessities at the local grocery store and the hotel will offer visiting family and friends a nice place to stay. Our two elementary schools are part of the Jefferson City School District and are conveniently located for easy accessibility to all parents. Feel safe in your homes and on the road with our highly skilled police and volunteer fire departments. There are also annual events hosted by the city that are great for families. There is an annual Easter Egg Hunt, a spring picnic, Christmas Parade and for Independence Day, the city puts on a carnival and fireworks show.
